Bareilly: Praeksha Singh, a research scholar in the Department of Law at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, successfully completed her pre-PhD presentation on the challenges surrounding data protection laws in the age of artificial intelligence.
Her presentation was titled “A Critical Analysis of the Data Protection Law in the Age of Artificial Intelligence with Special Reference to Data Violation on the Dark Web.” She discussed emerging challenges related to data protection and the use of artificial intelligence, offering suggestions to address concerns surrounding data breaches and the misuse of digital information.
The presentation was attended by Prof. Amit Singh, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Department; Prof. V.K. Gupta; Prof. Arun Prakash Singh; and Prof. Awadhesh Pandey. The guests were welcomed with plants.
The faculty members offered important suggestions to help strengthen the research and make it more relevant and effective before its final submission. Discussions also covered possible legislative and judicial reforms and the use of modern technological tools to address emerging legal challenges.
The research is being conducted under the supervision of Prof. Amit Singh, Head of the Department of Law.
Faculty members Dr Shahnaaz Akhtar, Dr Anuradha Yadav, Dr Lakshmi Devi, Dr Naimuddin, Dr Preeti Verma and Dr Sachin Rastogi attended the programme, along with research scholars Shailendra, Shraddha Swaroop, Sachin Kumar and Tapeshwari Devi. LLM students, other research scholars and departmental staff members, including Gulab Singh, Ram Vachan and Mohit, were also present.
The presentation provided an academic platform to discuss the evolving relationship between data protection legislation, artificial intelligence and digital security.
